PTE

PTE stands for Pearson Test of English. It is an international computer-based English Competency test. PTE Academic is a computer-based English language test for non-native English speakers who wish to study abroad. This English language test for candidates looking to apply to universities or immigrate countries that use English as their primary source of communication. Accepted by thousands of universities and colleges worldwide as proof of English proficiency. Accepted by the Australian Government for visa applications.
There are two types of PTE exams, i.e. PTE General and PTE Academic. PTE General is only conducted for rewarding brilliant achievements in English language learning and is not used as an English proficiency test.PTE Academic is the major exam that you can undertake if you are planning to work or study abroad.

Speaking Module
The first part of the test will evaluate your Speaking and Writing skills; this section is approximately of 54-67 minutes. It evaluates your English Language proficiency in an academic environment. The speaking module of the PTE exam will test you on how well you can listen, speak and write. Thus you need to be focused with utmost attention while reading, listening, writing and speaking the answers for the questions asked. Your speaking proficiency will be judged by 5 different categories of questions that range from repeating the sentence given to answers the questions asked to summarizing the passages you listen. The speaking section begins with Personal Introduction, here you are expected to introduce yourself, but this part of the tests is not assessed.

Writing Module
The Writing is the second section of the Speaking module. In other words, it does not have any separate section or time. Once you are done with the Speaking module, clicking on the next button will ask you to take the Writing test. The writing test assesses your writing skills in terms of how good you are in grammar, formatting sentences, and sticking to the topic given. You will be judged on the quality of your writing.

Reading Module
This section of the PTE Exam contains passages and questions based on your reading skills. For each question, you’ll have to read the instructions carefully before answering them.This section tests the candidates on the basis of their ability to understand the written instructions in the language. The section further divided into 5 segments is 29 to 30 minutes long.

Listening Module
The PTE syllabus of the Listening Section is 30 – 43 minutes long in the PTE test and it contains eight different question.Listening skills are tested in this section. In addition to that, you will also have some integrated speaking and listening questions in another part.The listening section of the PTE Academic is stretched over 30 to 43 minutes of duration. This one is designed to determine the ability to understand spoken English by the candidate. Here, the student needs to ascertain that they carefully hear the audio file played and retain what they heard. This section is divided into 8 segments

PTE Results are usually available online within two working days from the test date. The PTE Academic results are issued online. And can be accessed from your PTE Academic student account.

PTE Academic gives you a score from 10–90
